Lion's Paw (Hericium erinaceus) is a heat-tolerant strain produced as second-generation (G2) grain spawn from carefully selected commercial fruiting genetics chosen for vigorous mycelial growth, dense fruiting, excellent biological efficiency, and consistent yields. Each bag contains fully colonized premium corn grain, providing a vigorous inoculum ready for expansion onto pasteurized or sterilized bulk substrates.

Every grain spawn bag is prepared under strict sterile laboratory conditions and inspected before shipment to ensure vigorous, contamination-free colonization. Like other Lion's Mane varieties, Lion's Paw is renowned for its cascading white spines and delicate seafood-like flavor, but is specifically selected for its ability to fruit at higher temperatures — up to approximately 32°C (90°F), compared to the standard strain's typical 24°C (75°F) ceiling — making it especially well suited to warmer growing environments. Storage:

For best results, use the grain spawn as soon as possible after arrival. If storage is necessary, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C (35–46°F) and protected from direct light. Do not freeze. Fresh grain spawn provides the most vigorous colonization.
