Species: Hericium erinaceus
Strain: Wolf's Bloom
Culture Origin: Mongolia (wild-collected)
Wolf's Bloom Lion's Mane Liquid Culture contains actively growing mycelium of Hericium erinaceus from Wolf's Bloom, a wild Lion's Mane strain originally collected in Mongolia. Instead of long cascading spines, Wolf's Bloom forms dense, compact lobes covered in very fine spines, giving each cluster a soft, velvety look. It shares the delicate seafood-like flavor and texture Lion's Mane is known for, and its lobes peel apart cleanly, making it an excellent choice for sautéing, roasting, soups, sandwiches, and a wide variety of gourmet recipes.
Beyond its exceptional culinary qualities, Lion's Mane is naturally rich in dietary fiber, protein, B vitamins, essential minerals, antioxidants, beta-glucans, and naturally occurring compounds including hericenones and erinacines. It has attracted considerable scientific interest for these naturally occurring bioactive compounds and their potential roles in supporting cognitive health, nerve health, immune function, antioxidant activity, and overall wellness.
Each liquid culture syringe contains actively growing mycelium from a carefully maintained culture, providing a more consistent starting point than working from spores. It is ideal for expanding onto agar plates, preparing additional liquid cultures, or inoculating grain spawn, making it an excellent starting point for gourmet mushroom cultivation.
About the Wolf's Bloom Strain:
- Wild Lion's Mane strain originally collected in Mongolia
- Dense, compact lobes covered in very fine spines with a velvety surface
- Lobes separate cleanly, which makes harvesting and cooking easy
- Known for heavy yields with full clusters across multiple flushes
- Performs well across a wide range of temperatures, from cool to warm growing conditions
What You Receive:
- One freshly prepared 10 mL or 20 mL liquid culture syringe
- Syringe supplied sterile, closed, and securely capped
- One sterile needle
- One alcohol preparation wipe
Freshly Prepared and Contamination-Screened:
Every syringe is prepared fresh under sterile conditions once your order is received. Before shipment, a sample from each batch is transferred onto sterile agar in a Petri dish and observed during a quality-control screening period to verify the absence of contamination.
Please allow 3–5 business days for this contamination-screening process to be completed before your order is dispatched.
Quality Guarantee:
If your liquid culture syringe is confirmed to be contaminated upon arrival, contact us promptly with clear photographs. We will review the claim and, if confirmed, provide a replacement at no additional charge.
Proper sterile technique must be used after opening, as contamination introduced during handling, inoculation, storage, or cultivation is outside our control.
Typical Fruiting Time:
Under optimal cultivation conditions, Lion's Mane typically produces its first harvest approximately 3–5 weeks after substrate inoculation, depending on the substrate, incubation temperature, and environmental conditions.
Storage:
Keep the liquid culture syringe refrigerated (2–8°C) and protected from direct light. The culture may be stored for up to 6 months under refrigeration, although we recommend using it as soon as practical for the most vigorous growth.
Do not freeze. Gently shake the syringe before use to evenly redistribute the mycelium.
Important Information:
This product does not include cultivation instructions. Customers are responsible for researching the appropriate substrate, incubation conditions, fruiting temperatures, humidity, fresh-air exchange, and other cultivation requirements for Lion's Mane mushrooms before purchasing.
Liquid culture appearance naturally varies. Healthy mycelium may appear as cloudy, wispy, stringy, or suspended white growth within the nutrient solution.
For mushroom cultivation and laboratory use only. Not intended for human or animal consumption. Do not inject into humans or animals.

International customers are responsible for confirming that live mushroom cultures may be imported into their country and for obtaining any required permits or documentation before ordering. Customs clearance cannot be guaranteed. Aggietropicals is not responsible for delays, rejection, return, confiscation, or destruction resulting from customs procedures or local import regulations.
