Species: Annulohypoxylon archeri
Common Name: Tremella Companion Fungus
Culture Origin: USA
Annulohypoxylon archeri Liquid Culture contains actively growing mycelium of Annulohypoxylon archeri, a wood-decaying fungus widely recognized as one of the preferred host species for cultivating Tremella fuciformis (Snow Fungus). During cultivation, Tremella naturally parasitizes the actively growing mycelium of its host, making a compatible host culture essential for successful fruiting. This species is widely used by cultivators producing Tremella under controlled conditions.
Beyond its importance in Tremella cultivation, Annulohypoxylon archeri has attracted scientific interest for its ecological role as a wood-decomposing fungus and its naturally occurring bioactive compounds. Its vigorous growth and reliable compatibility with Tremella fuciformis make it an essential culture for cultivators interested in producing this unique gourmet mushroom.
Each liquid culture syringe contains actively growing mycelium from a carefully selected culture, providing a more consistent starting point than working from spores. It is ideal for expanding onto agar plates, preparing additional liquid cultures, or inoculating grain spawn, making it an excellent starting point for Tremella cultivation.
What You Receive:
- One freshly prepared 10 mL liquid culture syringe
- Syringe supplied sterile, closed, and securely capped
- One sterile needle
- One alcohol preparation wipe
Freshly Prepared and Contamination-Screened:
Every syringe is prepared fresh under sterile conditions once your order is received. Before shipment, a sample from each batch is transferred onto sterile agar in a Petri dish and observed during a quality-control screening period to verify the absence of contamination.
Please allow 1–3 business days for this contamination-screening process to be completed before your order is dispatched.
Quality Guarantee:
If your liquid culture syringe is confirmed to be contaminated upon arrival, contact us promptly with clear photographs. We will review the claim and, if confirmed, provide a replacement at no additional charge.
Proper sterile technique must be used after opening, as contamination introduced during handling, inoculation, storage, or cultivation is outside our control.
Cultivation Note:
This culture is intended to establish the Black Fungus Companion (Annulohypoxylon archeri) required for successful Tremella cultivation. It is not typically cultivated for its own fruiting bodies.
Storage:
Keep the liquid culture syringe refrigerated (2–8°C) and protected from direct light. The culture may be stored for up to 6 months under refrigeration, although we recommend using it as soon as practical for the most vigorous growth.
Do not freeze. Gently shake the syringe before use to evenly redistribute the mycelium.
Important Information:
This product does not include cultivation instructions. Customers are responsible for researching the appropriate substrate, incubation conditions, and the cultivation process for Tremella fuciformis, including the use of Annulohypoxylon archeri as its companion fungus before purchasing.
Liquid culture appearance naturally varies. Healthy mycelium may appear as cloudy, wispy, stringy, or suspended white growth within the nutrient solution.
This culture is intended as a companion fungus for Tremella cultivation. It is not an edible mushroom culture. Not intended for human or animal consumption. Do not inject into humans or animals.
