Every agar plate is prepared under strict sterile laboratory conditions and inspected before shipment to ensure a healthy, actively growing colony. Lion's Paw shares the same cascading white spines and delicate seafood-like flavor as standard Lion's Mane, but is specifically selected for its ability to fruit at higher temperatures — up to approximately 32°C (90°F), compared to the standard strain's typical 24°C (75°F) ceiling — making it especially well suited to warmer growing environments. Storage:

For best results, begin transferring the culture soon after arrival. If storage is necessary, keep refrigerated at 2–8°C (35–46°F) and protected from direct light. Do not freeze. Cultures may remain viable for several months under proper refrigeration, although prompt expansion is recommended for maximum vigor.

Every agar plate is visually inspected before shipment to verify healthy growth and the absence of visible contamination. If your agar plate is confirmed to be contaminated upon arrival, contact us promptly with clear photographs within 24 hours of delivery. We will review the claim and, if confirmed, provide a replacement at no additional charge.
